Hmm, I just got mine in. At first, I thought the sound was quite terrible...the highs were really high and the mids and lows were very muted. I hopped over to amazon and read reviews that the sound quality was good. So I figured something had to be wrong. It turns out the reviews pointing out the bad construction of the extension cable were correct. I have to bend the connection with the extension cable for the full sound to come through (kind of like how you bend a glow stick to activate it). There's something wrong with the contact in the extension cable for me. I pulled out the extension cable that came with my old Sennheiser headphones and that worked really well, no need to bend the connector. I guess I'm better off getting a third party cable looking at the reviews. They do sound really nice though, strong bass and highs. I still prefer my HD600 headphones though, these need a bit more of the mids (or less bass) for my tastes. I'm curious if I can get a new cable though...

BJorn_LuLszicYep. I hardly use my phone. I'm mostly working at my desktop.
I think you would need a portable amp to run the HD600s off of a phone.

scottysengI actually have the HD 650 and I might buy the Jotunheim, but I need a portable amp/dac to drive them on my iPhone 6S+
