I'm a recording engineer. Been meaning to get my hands on one of these for a while. Always heard from other engineers about this being one of those 'desert island' mics. Pretty fantastic price as well.

I'm a live sound engineer. My first encounter with this mic was at a festival, being separated by the stage by a hundred feet and thousands of people I relied on my stage crew to set things up and handle changeovers. At the end of the day I went up to the stage to help tear down.
"Wait, that was the mic you put on the kick drum?" I said to my monitor engineer, incredulously.
"Yeah, isn't it great?"
"Actually, yeah. Nice choice."
I've also seen people sing into it with great results. I've also used it on bass cab. Good mic.

Hi everyone! Thought I would provide a bit of additional information on this mic. The mic has a broad application in terms of being used for vocals and instruments. However, the mic shines when being used as a kick drum mic. This would definitely be a great pick up if you are looking for a solid kick drum mic that can also be used on vocals and other bass oriented instruments.
