MSRP is $399.99 and not $459 http://north-america.beyerdynamic.com/shop/mmx-300.html Local Dealers normally push these out at $349. I half agree with boblehest and normally anything with gaming in it charges a premium. These headphones, when not purchased from teh mfg, are adequately priced From what I understand these are based of the old dt770s, with the new ones being the dt770 pro. The dt770 have a higher freq response, but a lower noise attenuation. The DT770 Pro 32 ohm are ~$250 right now on amazon, Throw in a modmic or similar and you are only looking at a total price that is only $10 cheaper than the $310 we can get these for if we get enough people. The $10 delta to get the mic on the MMX300 is more than worth it IMHO. The dilemma I have is whether or not to go with a higher quality headset and modmic that as I am more concerned with sound than the mic.

v27vThen go with better phones. Modmic will be comparable and probably even better than this mic. Such was the case with my Sen pc360s. Instantly regrettable $250 that could have upgraded my headphones and bought some extra mic accessories.
