I'm sure almost all of us are going to be looking at a good tube amp to get the most out of these. Someone mentioned earlier to check the official owners thread on Head-Fi, but i'd still like to hear from anyone here what they end up picking.
I've got a fair bit of time to find the right match while my wallet recovers. ;)

ElisiusI currently run a Schiit Valhalla with a pair of dt880s, and plan to keep running it for the t1s, given it's OTL design. If you want a tube amp that just gingerly smooths over the dry sound of a solid state amp, I very much recommend the Valhalla. I'll be trying it out on my roomies' amps, which include a DarkVoice 336se tube amp and a Schiit Asgard (SS) - the former being a much more lush tube amp, and the latter being a bit cold for my tastes. The Valhalla doesn't get as warm and gooey as the DarkVoice, but it is more detailed with a bigger soundstage, IMO.
I've also heard rave reviews about the Bottlehead Crack with its Speedball upgrade, but can't speak on it personally. It does seem like a fun new soldering project!
ElisiusYea..... You might want to figure that out pretty quick. The Woo Audio WA7 is going to launch VERY soon : )

ElisiusI was up in the air on an amp. Reading Head-Fi gave me several ideas.
Solid state amp, people on Head-Fi recommend the Meier Audio Corda Classic with the T1.

As far as tube amp, people on Head-Fi recommend an OTL tube amp. I was going back and forth between the Woo Audio WA2, Bottlehead Crack, and the Decware CSP3. I believe the WA2 has a one to two week build time, the Bottlehead Crack you would have to build yourself or buy from someone who has built one, and the Decware CSP3 has a build time of 8-10 weeks.

I went with a second hand Decware CSP2+, older model, which I'm buying off the Decware forum. The Decware amps come with a lifetime warranty and the warranty is transferable for a fee. The seller is sending my amp back to Decware, Decware will look over my amp, and then send it to me.

Likewise. I've got the cash to put down on a pair of T5Ps, but Amazon keeps spiking them between 1,100 and 1,399.

Thanks for the link. I'm an American citizen, but I live in South Korea, so alas my choices are limited. Here the T5P retails for over 1,500 USD.
