Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. Im not sure what I did wrong to make it mess up like that as I've always taken good care of it, ive had it for about 2 years and its always just been chilling on my desk, but anywho I thought the cable just went bad and ordered a replacement. I've got a fair bit of time to find the right match while my wallet recovers. ;)
I've also heard rave reviews about the Bottlehead Crack with its Speedball upgrade, but can't speak on it personally. It does seem like a fun new soldering project!
Solid state amp, people on Head-Fi recommend the Meier Audio Corda Classic with the T1.

As far as tube amp, people on Head-Fi recommend an OTL tube amp. I was going back and forth between the Woo Audio WA2, Bottlehead Crack, and the Decware CSP3. I believe the WA2 has a one to two week build time, the Bottlehead Crack you would have to build yourself or buy from someone who has built one, and the Decware CSP3 has a build time of 8-10 weeks.

I went with a second hand Decware CSP2+, older model, which I'm buying off the Decware forum. The Decware amps come with a lifetime warranty and the warranty is transferable for a fee. The seller is sending my amp back to Decware, Decware will look over my amp, and then send it to me.
