Right. I have Q701 and most likely they bear same family resemblance to 7xx. Q710 wins over T70 in neutrality hands down. T70 wins are comfort, (some) isolation, sub-bass extension, detail retrieval; but they are quite bright. Initially they are 'headache-inducing' bright, but after 100-150 hours of quiet burn-in they calm down to 'just bright'. T70 are also working surprisingly well out of O2.
Great news group! We placed the order for the Beyerdynamic T70/T70p Audiophile Headphones shortly after the drop ended.
Our vendor will be preparing it for shipment.
The moment we receive confirmation regarding the shipping schedule from the vendor, we will provide you all with updated information.
Expect an update from us by the end of the day Pacific Time on 12/14 or sooner if something comes up.
well the akg 7XX's are an open headphone so the biggest thing you should consider is what environment you will be listening (home, office, café, etc...)
OlekSame here. With close to 2,000 TH-X00 sold just now, hopefully there will be enough buyers for this one. I really like the clarity and sound stage of the T70.
Got T70 recently, and they are the most detailed closed-back headphone I have ever tried. No 'boxed-in sound' that is so typical for closed-back phones. Sub bass is great - it is there, and there is good amount of it. No mid-bass thumping, and that is good in my book - no bass bleeding into mids. On the down side, their treble is strong enough that it is borderline headache-inducing.
air_mooseI'm in.
For the longest time I was the only one from the higher price :) If we don't get lower price, I may get one more, expense it and give it to one of my developers (I'm manager).
