HarsainNope, If you see the US flag and not your nation's flag beside the shipping cost. It ain't shipping to your place or more likely it ain't shipping internationally. If you want to ask, it's not massdrop's fault, it's the supplier that doesn't want international shipping.

Genkishi569Hi, shipping is handled by massdrop not the company and many times earlier on customers requests and demand massdrop has allowed international shipping. It's so weird either don't allow international customers to register or let them buy

Harsainyeah, massdrop handles shipping, but if the partner doesn't want them to ship internationally then they can't. Normally though, they will try to ship internationally. This is a paraphrase of the reply I got about the Fostex TH-600s being US only :). As for the changes, consumer demand is a powerful thing, but it can only do so much. Massdrop can only request the retail partner/distributor to change their mind, and if the partner doesn't deem the increased numbers profitable enough for the loss (c'mon these drops have pretty good prices) then nothing happens.

Genkishi569Sir i know how it works I also have been a member of mass drop from long. Yes demand is powerful and that's what we were trying to do but not sure why you sudden commented, it's us only.... We all know massdrop is an American company but if md allows international buyers then it should be full access not selective.

HarsainAll I meant was that they were restricted by the wishes of the retail partner. I merely replied when someone asked if there was international shipping. It's in their FAQ:
DO YOU SHIP INTERNATIONALLY?
Yes. We do everything that we can to support shipping to AS MANY COUNTRIES AS POSSIBLE,(Full international shipping is never guaranteed) however SOME MANUFACTURER'S IMPOSE CONSTRAINTS ON OUR OFFERS. Also keep in mind that you might have to pay more for shipping if you live outside of the United States, and you’ll be responsible for any additional customs fees, taxes, or duties. Most international packages are shipped via UPS Mail Innovations, which is a service where the parcel is first picked up by UPS, then passed on to USPS, taken to another country, and handed off to the local postal carrier. This method of shipping is actually cheaper than USPS by about 30% - which of course, we pass on to you! "
I'm merely informing those who don't know this yet. Helping the community is all. I didn't mean to come off as "lashing out." We can always learn more
P.S. I love this site, and I think this international shipping question pops out so often that it becomes a chore for the mods to explain it to us again and again. Although putting this disclaimer beneath the price might help in mitigating the issue. Cheers

Genkishi569I don't think it would help much. Most international buyers wouldn't even read it especially the ones who need to ask in the first place when it's out in the open. I sell stuff on ebay and people always ask me if I ship internationally when I say US only. Eventually I realized that it was pointless in answering and it's better just to block them from buying. They can find out themselves when they try to buy.

boooooooooI block vendors that refuse to deal with me internationally , they don't deserve my custom. Kudos to MD for endeavouring to ship international when possible. Australia isn't somalia after all.

AntibacterialYou don't block them, they block you. You really don't have a choice when they don't let you buy so you can't exactly say you blocked them.
Don't get too offended. It's just that international buyers are less profitable, and when a problem occurs it's just much harder to fix it. When that happens it's a pain for both the buyer and seller. Look at the ODAC drop, for example. That's why some vendors choose not to ship internationally, or would rather have an international vendor, especially when they are already selling it at a discount.
Everyone buying from a different country has to deal with it, and I believe everyone should know that before they buy. And yes, that includes people from the US.

boooooooooHey , no worries , I'm not offended. They don't block me , the opposite is true. I can use any manner of forwarding service to patronise any business or vendor whether they ship internationally or not. Complete with US credit card and delivery address. Vendor would likely be oblivious. So you see I have every choice and I can accurately say I block them , after all that's what they wish , but the ball is in my court as a buyer.
