Anyone notice the differences with the V1 models? Comparing to the teardown and un-boxing videos,
  1. The inner molding is now white plastic instead of red.
  2. No more ear hooks.
  3. The differences with the changeable filter is now just colors. There's no gasket ring with actual filtering material like you seen on the Head-Fi review. Maybe you are suppose to DIY.
  4. Price. We got what we paid for when comparing to the same product.

lemon07rI just got mine. The plastic inside is now white instead of red as shown in some reviews. It's internal and the color doesn't matter so long as it's the same kind of plastic molded to the same dimensions. There are no ear hooks. Some reviews and unboxings have black silicon snap on ear hooks included. Some don't. Actually most don't. I ran into at least one review where both the silver cable and the black cable with mic were included. So either multiple skus or they just stopped including the clip on hooks at some point. Plenty of the head-fi reviews don't have them either. The changeable nozzles seem the same as every review I have seen and indeed change the tone slightly. So not sure what the complaint is about. I'be seen no reviewed depicting their internal construction, but externally they look like every review and behave as claimed. Some reviews include pics of the lz a5 filters because they fit. Those have o rings to keep them from unscrewing. Perhaps they are mistaking them for the included nozzles. Internally there is a mesh filter glued to an o ring or gasket. In reviews that show it I have seen it a tightly trimmed circle with very little overhang to the o ring, and a bigger circle with some significant overhang around the o ring. In mine the mesh is a really big square with lots of overhang. If that is what they mean, it's different In a way that is likely chaper to install without error, but it's there. They sound REALLY good. If you throw out all the headphone review gibberish that sounds like the headphone version of wine tasting talk, it does line up with the major points of most reviews. At this price they are shockingly good, and the engineers who designed them should be proud of their work.

raz-0LOL the wine tasting gibberish drives me nuts. How the hell am I supposed to know what they mean when they talk like that. I like to brew my own coffee and it's impossible to figure out what beans are good cause the descriptions and reviews for beans aren't any different. Thanks for your point of view, I'm excited to get mine, I think they're going to be here in a few days.

lemon07rI was fiddling with the tips again today, and checked the mesh my body colored tips have a black mesh held in by what look like I rings inside the nozzle. They didn't change the filters in the body either. Just one of mine had an extra but of mesh on one side and the new white plastic interior fooled me into thinking part of the plastic body was part of the mesh filter. Other than plastic color these don't appear to differ from recent reviews.
