Bobby: "BAnyway possible to upgrade to the 14" poles through the drop?"
What is the difference of the poles included in the offer and the 14"" poles?
I find the BSkyI - pages with the different offers very hard to understand

cyberkrautI've been eyeing the BigSky Lineup for a while so the site it actually becoming familiar to me! (it's a UX nightmare...no offense BigSky, whatever works for you!).
Overall, they offer a great range of models, all very customizable- right down to pole material and folded size. And although you don't hear as much about them like some other "culture celebrity" smaller tent companies, those who have the product seem to really like them.
In this case, the Soul comes "standard" with poles that fold down to 17". I do a lot of bikepacking / touring and prefer smaller poles to fit in my panniers. The 14" and 17" poles are listed as lightweight aluminum, so I'm assuming the same material, just more sections in the 14" to get to the smaller size. Experts will argue that more sections = weaker structure, but I'm sure that for my (and 99.9%) of the use these tents get, the strength difference is negligible. Oh, and the 14" poles weigh 4/10th's of an ounce more. I guess I'll just spit out my gum before I leave to make up for it. ;-)
cyberkrautBobbJ, From our experience, we do not think there is a noticeable strength difference between 14in and 17in folded section lengths . Big Sky International
cyberkrautthe standard pole folded length is 43cm (17in), but Big Sky offers a shorter folding length, 36cm (14in) that better fit in bike panniers, small packs, etc. What other questions do you have? Big Sky International

Anyway possible to upgrade to the 14" poles through the drop?" > sorry, it would be too complicated for Massdrop to manage any changes, please contact Big Sky about the exchange after you receive your tent.
What is the difference of the poles included in the offer and the 14"" poles? > same pole, different folded section lengths, 17in std length vs. 14in upgrade
I find the Big Sky pages with the different offers very hard to understand > Sorry about that... please let us know what questions you have.

cyberkrautThanks for your answers
I'd be happy to be able to receive the shorter 14"-poles instead of the longer ones. What doI have to do?
My prima vista impression of BSI products is that of very good products. The interchangeable parts and pieces and the exact difference between similar products, advantages and disadvantages, can only be worked out after intensive study of your web pages.
Is there a shop affilated to BSI in Germany? Where do I get spare parts?
