Weighing 2 pounds and 6 ounces, the Big Sky Mirage fits two with room to spare. The interior floor measures 53 inches at its widest point, with a 42-inch peak height that promises plenty of headroom and two ergonomically designed doors that are wider at the bottom, allowing your legs to swing in and out upon exit and entry. The Mirage is markedly storm-worthy for a three-season tent, thanks to the integrated fly, and the two-pole design makes for a fast pitch. Along with two 7-square-foot vestibules (each large enough for a weeklong pack), you’ll have two mesh clothes hampers and two interior pockets for headlamps and other small gear.
Note: This drop is for the Big Sky Mirage with SuprSil fabric and mesh netting, in a granite gray outer shell and dark olive green floor. SuprSil-UL fabric for the outershell is available as an upgrade (+ $30). Stakes, guy lines, and footprints are not included.
Because the Mirage has a hybrid design (double-walled on the door side with a single-walled ceiling and non-door side), it’s recommended for low-humidity areas—like the American Southwest and Rocky Mountains—and not recommended for high-humidity areas.
