I hate when you look at tons of stuff and the one thing I want to buy is the one thing they won't ship to Australia. I really would have loved to get this for a christmas present for myself and some friends.

Antique_WizardThose exploding hover boards and phones have made it really, really difficult to ship lithium-ion batteries overseas. Sorry @Antique_Wizard . I wish we could help you out.

DannyMilksI guess, but we still have a ton of things with lithium batteries here. I own a samsung galaxy note 4 myself and I actually own a ton of massively big lithium batteries for some big 3d R/C helicopters and planes. They are $400 a battery. We still have all the same products the3 rest of the world has. It's not like we have every product except anything with a lithium battery. Is it just the courier or post service you use? How do all the other products get here?

Antique_WizardAs @flyinglotus1983 points out ocean freight is always an option but because of the time element MD ain't going that route. I suggest you look at the IATA/ICAO regs for air frieght of lithium batteries. There is a difference in scale between Samsung and MD. Even Samsung had to go through a lot of effort to get the Notes back. For a company the size of MD it just is not worth the headache.
BTW one of the companies that makes those big RC batteries, Brielle, here in the US got banned from air freight by the FAA for repeatedly violated the regs.
