Hey everyone -- I recently had a chance to put these trekking poles though some pretty serious testing during a backpacking trip in the Denali Wilderness. I was very impressed with how they held in the rugged, trail-less terrain; there were a few times they got wedged between sharp rocks and I thought for sure I would hear a 'crack' or feel a bend, but they sprung back without any structural damage. Now that I've used angled cork grips, I don't think I will ever go back to straight or foam.
