These are great poles -- except that both of mine no longer come apart ... the bottom section seems welded to the middle segment. It doesn't seem like Black Diamond supports these after they're just 1 year old. They're the perfect pole for me and I'd buy another set. But they cost a lot for something that is not going to last and can't be repaired. Maybe someone has figured out how to "un-weld" the pole segments?
