We reached back out to the vendor again this week for another update on the group's order and, unfortunately, are still waiting to hear back about the latest status. We will continue to contact them and relay any new information we receive directly to the group.

We've continued to coordinate with the vendor about the group's order and they've let us know that it's taken them slightly longer than expected to gather and prepare everything for shipment to our warehouse in New Jersey. Rest assured, we will remain in close contact with them and update the group as soon as everything is on the way.

Awaiting confirmation! We are still in contact with the vendor and just awaiting updated shipment estimates from them. We have a call scheduled first thing tomorrow morning and should get a bit more visibility in regards to when we can expect these in our warehouse.

We've been in touch with the vendor regarding the group's order and they've let us know that they are still working to gather and pack the group's order for shipment to our warehouse in New Jersey. We will continue to check in with them throughout the fulfillment process and update the group again as soon as everything is en route to us!

Thanks again for joining this drop! We have submitted the group's order with the vendor for the Black Diamond Iota Rechargeable Headlamp and they are working hard to prepare it for shipment.
As soon as the group's order is ready at the vendor's location, they will send the bulk shipment to our warehouse in New Jersey where our warehouse team will break it up into individual orders and ship them. The current estimated ship date from our warehouse is 12/23.

Something no one has mentioned - not even the drop - is brightness memory. The Iota comes from the factory set to turn on at about 60% brightness. You can adjust the initial brightness and save it so the Iota turns on at anything from minimum to max brightness. We have the procedure written out in the review.

Two things:
1) Engearment just published their review of the Iota. check it out and let us know what you think. I think Dave from that site is on Massdrop pretty regularly, so he might be able to answer some questions.

2) I used this headlamp over the weekend and was truly impressed with how bright it can get. It's super light and I forgot I was wearing it. That, plus the reflective logo and text on the band makes me think BD was targeting runners as well. I usually only use a headlamp for a few minutes while camping and so I don't see the 2/40 hour burn time to be an issue - I would usually use it at half power for hiking or lowest power for around camp. With the rechargeable feature, I don't see any reason to carry my Revolt anymore - it just seems like overkill. I think this really hits the sweet spot of desirable features while being light and compact - right between the Ion and BD's larger headlamps.
