Here and on the Black Diamond website it states 22 hours on high which is 350 lumen on 3 aaa batteries. Has technology advanced this far or was a decimal dropped? Overall it looks like a great light, especially being waterproof!

fishbiteIt is a great light. I prefer the Spot but own several variations of both of these (but neither of the 2017 models). The 22 hour spec is kind of bogus...all mfrs play games with lumens and run times and few have really adopted some of the standards that are available. The way they get those super lumen ratings is often cheesy and vary according to how they want to cheese it. They're still nice and bright, though. The run times vary in testing protocol/tools also, but generally they run it down to a ridiculously unusable level that you would never consider still functional in real life. If this comparison helps, my 2016 Storm at around 80% power gives about 6-ish hours before dimming a bit too much for decent night travel. That's pretty impressive really and BD does a good job with efficiency. The 2016 Spot gives about 3.5-4 hours with one less battery cell. 80% of their brightness is more than needed really so you can easily extend run times for night hiking, and if you're mainly using it for around camp it'll last many days.
