Is the Hadron more water repellent than the Original? This is based on what I'm reading on the website's description.

ccchansThe HadronS is just slightly more of everything including price and the difficulty to make them. The liner material is a 10d Taffeta weave Nobul material that is ultra-soft while the shell is 7D siliconized waterproof material. So the hat is slightly more water repellent.
Having said that my personal choice and what I wear daily is my Original beanie in black. The 15d DWR coated nylon will still shed the rain, snow or sleet and to me is the clear winner for all around durability, warmth and compressibility. I recommend to all of my customers to start with the Original. They are so light and warm you forget it's on your head.
