jordjw1999I would assume so as the rear cam doesn't have a micro sd slot. As for your other question I have no idea but I will be buying one this drop if it gets low enough and slapping a 128gb micro sd for maximum recording capacity.
jordjw1999Having a Class 10 card would greatly benefit your recording as having a read/write speed will offer a smooth video when you go ahead and pull it up. I will be getting myself a samsung 128gb evo select card because it says it offers water/temperature/xray/magnetic proof and I've left microSD cards out in my car at 98F weather and haven't had one fail on me just yet.
AkumaKuronoBlackvue has done their own testing with MicroSD Cards and recommend that you steer clear of the Sandisk and Samsung EVO cards because they make the dashcams operate at a higher temperature and recording suffers slightly. Top choices besides their own branded Blackvue cards are Delkin SD cards or Lexar 633x cards
