I don't recommend buying BlackVue products. I purchased one during a drop a couple of months ago. Their support is nearly nonexistent. I had the adhesive for the rear camera fail where it was attached to the camera (not the glass; it's still stuck to the window), and the camera fell off. When I attempted to ask them what I should do about it, they said (this is a direct quote) "You probably have made some unintentional mistake when you installed it because most of our clients do not have issues using the pads when they installed the camera in their car. " I have no idea what mistake I could have made to cause the adhesive to come off the camera itself. I never pulled on the camera.
I've asked them for help and suggested an alternative pad by 3M I could use instead, and they've consistently refused to even answer my questions, instead telling me I need to "Please contact the seller or local distributor and try to purchase new adhesive tapes. They won't cost you that much." I've gone back and forth with them on this, with the same results. For one of the most expensive consumer dashcams on the market, that doesn't strike me as an acceptable response. I'll be staying away from Blackvue in the future and I'd urge you to do the same if you want good customer service or support in the future. You clearly won't get it from Blackvue.

ConsumerIt's a very valid point but, unfortunately, it's the reality of globalization. Most (all) dashboard cams (along with other electronics, such as wireless phones) are sold by companies with virtually no US presence or support. You can try to let MD handle it, and, if they cannot, it's more of an argument against MD. More likely than not Amazon would just take it back but you'll pay more for the cam there.
As to your actual problem, if you've installed it in the last few month, it could possibly be temperature related. It's much harder to get good result with adhesives in colder weather.
Try 3M VHB. It's thick and should hold well. It's what's used for GoPro helmet mount, which is, both, high stress environment and works in cold temps, once bonded.

FirstOneFair enough. I reached out to MD earlier today - we'll see what their response is.
Regarding installation, I didn't install my camera right away after receiving it; I did so this week. It failed within less than an hour of installation, in relatively warm weather. Thanks for the pointer toward 3M VHB - I'll look into it.

ConsumerThey sell the replacement adhesive for both the front and rear cameras. I accidentally installed the camera upside down and since it's one-time use, I had to order new one, which cost like $10 on Amazon for a 5 pack.

ciniserisSure, I could go buy one to solve the problem, but that isn't the point. The point is that you shouldn't have to by a $10 replacement part for a camera less than an hour after installation, especially when you installed it correctly. The company should stand by their product rather than blaming you for nebulously making " some unintentional mistake" without even asking any questions. Or, failing that, making it right when a photo is sent to demonstrate that the problem was where the adhesive was applied to the product, not the windshield, which *they* did.
They don't support their product adequately, and i thought people should know this. It seems like a great camera, but only until something fails. Then... you're on your own.

ConsumerIn my experience dash cam manufacturers provide 0 support for their products. They expect the retailer to. As FirstOne mentioned it's 'a reality of globalization'. I went with a cheaper and simpler A119 for my 1st dashcam but I did a lot of research and took a serious look at this BlackVue 2channel dash cam. The recommendation seems to be to purchase the dashcam you want from a reputable retailer and see them for support. Not the MFG. I purchased my A119 off Amazon and have had no issues but blackboxmycar.com/ seems to be a good source as well. They have a plethora of guides on the website and on youtube. Additionally, the reviews posted on youtube.com/user/CarCamCentral helped me immensely in my search for a dashcam.
