Managed to score the Titanium, Nice and light, opens a treat and is all around wonderful, but barely sharp enough to cut at the heal of the blade. A little sharpening and it'll be good, but I would have liked to see it ready out of the box. Otherwise, very nice.
Was lucky enough to get the CF. Very sharp out of the box, featherlight too. Flipper works well as does lock. Very pleased. Locally to buy about USD140.
lucky enough to get the carbon fiber version so I think monetarily I'm in the right on this one. good little knife seeing that I'm not too hard on them.
Currently on Amazon, you can buy the Cocobolo for $65 (on Prime), the G-10 for $63 (Prime), and the Titanium for $70 (Prime).
So 80% of this sale you can get on Amazon with free shipping cheaper than is offered here.
Nice.
I have the Massdrop Urban Trapper, and the clip has the tendency to get bent out of shape. I stopped carrying it because it kept falling out of my pants.
In case anyone wasn't clear, massdrop has yet again wayyy over-valued their affiliated products. The really nice S35VN 'massdrop exclusive' is only worth $79.99 USD. Not sure where the extra $100 came from. I paid $82.45, with shipping, for it when it dropped last summer. Don't think you're getting a great deal. Don't get me wrong, it's an awesome knife, but never trust massdrop when it comes to the monetary values they claim things have. MSRP is not a good indicator of value, no one in their right mind would ever pay the MSRP.
I jumped on the Massdrop S35VN edition and the fit and finish are excellent for a Boker Plus. The flipping action is a little stiff initialy but gets very smooth after opening it a few times. There is a bit of lock stick but this can be remedied with a led pencil. It is very thin and light (you will forget it is in your pocket) but very capable for edc cutting task. Now it is not a rugged knife like your Spyderco or Coldsteel knives but has no problems cutting twine, opening packages, cutting food and sharpening pencils. The detent, handles, and edge geometry are very nicely done.
I participated in a previous drop of this knife. It's a great knife - light and slim. Opens eas and smoothl. Nice deep pocket clip. Just an awesome gents' pocket knife - not super rugged but would be adequate for 97% of my cutting needs.
I'd still be carrying it were it not for the clip. It's fairly soft and bent easily. I didn't mind that so much until I tried to remove the clip with the incuded tool. I could only remove one of the two screws. The damned thing is still laying on my nightstand.
