Not bad, received the package ten days after it being dispatched from Massdrop. Upgraded to the FRN dark blue with S110V steel and no extras. Feels good in the hand but not quite like a $190 knife.

johanumNice score, I got the one never listed on the drop like many others (the S30V plain jane) so I’ve already started the support process to return and get a refund. I’m not bummed about it though, I’ll most likeLt use the funds on something else on another drop anyway.

Dhill21I don’t think the base model is a bad knife by any means but the principle is important. I joined this drop based on what options were available. Among those the S35VN blade in the base model I was most likely to get, as that would have given me the chance of comparing the steel against my 940-2 in S30V. In the event of being upgraded I would get the chance of testing out a couple of super steels like Maxamet or S110V.
Having skipped past blue boxes as some options had serrated blades for example that I would not have wanted. As advertised this blue box would have been a win either way. But, if you can’t trust getting what’s advertised then why join at all?
