Christmas is fast approaching, so why not kick off the season and hang your holiday hopes on a Massdrop Blue Box? For this drop, we’ve assembled a collection of tried-and-tested EDC favorites from some of the most recognizable brands in the industry—from CRKT to JETBeam, Boker to Spyderco, and more. By joining, you’re guaranteed to receive at least a tactical stocking (in a random color), plus a knife, flashlight, and pen or sharpener—but 40 percent of you will receive upgrades from the list below. In each progressive level, items are upgraded to more valuable models. You’ll also be eligible for prizes, including a handful of Spyderco Para Military 2s with S110V steel! Tactical Stocking Colors

4 Distinct Folders

In this drop you’ll have a chance at four different folders. The first is the handy Kershaw Zing, which features an all-steel construction, a tough frame lock, and a quick flipping action. Next up is the Massdrop-exclusive CRKT Deviation. This futuristic-looking knife boasts an 8Cr14MoV stainless steel blade and a handle with a ti-nitride black or bronze finish you won't find anywhere else. Third is the Artisan Cutlery Tomahawk, which is outfitted with a D2 steel blade and a carbon fiber handle. The highest tier will receive a Spyderco Paramilitary with an S35VN blade and Spyderco's signature compression lock. If you're really lucky, you could get a Spyderco Paramilitary 2 as an additional prize.

2 Powerful Flashlights, 2 Versatile Sharpening Stones

As the second item in each bundle, you'll get a flashlight or a sharpening stone. The majority of you will receive an aerospace-grade aluminum JETBeam Very Tiny Flashlight, which pumps out 135 lumens despite only using an AA battery. Thirty percent of you will receive a Fallkniven DC4 sharpener instead. This diamond/ceramic whetstone is capable of sharpening virtually any type of steel. It comes with a leather sheath for convenient carry. Nine percent of you will be lucky enough to get the Spyderco 303MF sharpening stones. Made from ceramic, this double pack includes a sheath for carry as well. Lastly, if you're lucky enough to be in the 1-percent tier, you'll get a JETBeam DDR-30 flashlight, which is capable of a whopping 2,650 lumens. This rechargeable flashlight offers plenty of modes and an IPX-8 waterproof body.

4 Tactical Pens

A tough everyday pen is essential in the field, which is why we’re throwing four tactical pens in the mix, too. First is the world-renowned Fisher Space Pen, originally created for astronauts in 1965. Since, it’s been a working man’s best friend because it can write underwater, at any angle, and even upside down. In the first tier, you'll get a matte black original version, but the second tier gets a chrome ti-nitride-coated bullet model. If you’re lucky enough to be a part of the 9-percent tier, you'll receive a Boker Plus Bolt-Action Rocket Pen. It’s got a satisfying bolt-action click and a handsome brass body. Finally, the 1-percent tier gets an Artisan Cutlery tactical pen. This titanium beauty has a striker tip, a threaded cap, and a titanium pocket clip.

What are the Odds of an Upgrade?

Sixty percent of those who join will receive a tactical stocking (random color), a Fisher Space Pen, a Kershaw Zing, and a JETBeam Very Tiny Flashlight. The other forty percent will be lucky winners of an upgrade. Upgrades will be assigned to orders by means of a random number generator in the following proportions:
