So how is this a group deal? MSRP for the Bluewave GET is $99 (per IGG page), and this has been selling manufacturer-direct for $99 the past few months (was recently raised to $130).
Been comparing Bluetooth DAC/Amps for a while, and from what I've narrowed my selection down to, the EarStudio ES100 has the best sound quality and battery life, but poorest materials and build quality; the FiiO BTR1 is the cheapest with good build (and will soon be replaced by the BTR3); the Astell & Kern XB10 seems to fall somewhere between those two, but has the poorest battery life; and the Bluewave GET has the most power output and a nice design, but is very noisy with many earphones and has/had a dangerously loose volume wheel.
Was also really interested in a few of Audio-Technica's models, but their North American branch can't be bothered to release any of them domestically. Still not sure what to get, but I keep leaning toward the ES100, though I might wait to see what the BTR3 brings when it's released this summer.

AFD_0Thanks for the interest AFD_0, for the Volume wheel we have added some mechanical resistance, it's not loose. For MSRP, the one Massdrop advertised is the correct one. The Indiegogo page was created a year and a half ago. It's deprecated, this is the nature of Crowdfunding, we where honest then thinking that we could offer this product at 99$ regular price. It's not the case. As we are now moving to distribution and retail, the 129 USD will be the universal advertised price. It was possible trough direct sales to do better, but not something that we can offer in the long run considering that we are a made in Canada product and moving to retail involves intermediate parties in the equation. Rest assured that at the moment Massdrop and us are offering GET at a real discount, this is not a MSRP disguised as a deal.

Pierre111Thanks for addressing the now corrected issue with the volume wheel, appreciate that! I can definitely understand your recent changes in pricing due to distribution, and hope you also understand that many of us here are looking for deals and price-shop the products offered here constantly.
Either way, $99 for the GET here is definitely more convenient than purchasing direct at your old price of $99, since shipping from Massdrop would alleviate any possible issues with tarriffs/duty from self-importing the item for US customers (don't think there would be duty for an item at that price, but it was a concern of mine, since I assumed that manufacturer direct was being shipped from Canada).
Thanks for reaching out and answering our questions here, and hope you gain a few extra sales because of that!

AFD_0Own the ES100 and have zero complaints, haven't used it to drive full sized HP's but the IE800 and RE-00 sound much better than expected over bluetooth. My phone is aptX HD enabled so keep that in mind. I agree the "build feel" is lacking but the performance is definitely worth the $99 entry.

AFD_0Yup! I have the AT, the ES100, and the GET. AT had the only real product on the market for years, which is why I bought it back in 2015. Totally agree that the ear studio sounds the best- I think it's built better than the AT, but nowhere near as well as the GET. The GET didn't work for me at all and I had to send it back. I think they have a low gain version now which solves many of the problems I was having (lots of noise, extremely limited adjustment on the volume pot), but the ear studio is what I really needed. I do wish the electronics from the ES100 were in the GET's form factor though!
