Does the CF model have CF front and back? It appears the CF is only on one side? One sided CF models are always disappointing to me. And why wasn't it offered in Damascus? Both Boker drops are largely disappointing this week...

jbhildebHow could it have a titanium case lock if it had CF on both sides?

MotorradPartial titanium subframe lock or go with titanium liners. Let's be honest...we are certainly paying for aesthetics as well here. This look is busted. As with most single sided carbon fiber folders.

jbhildebSee the images. CF on the front, titanium on the back (framelock side).

jbhildebI wholeheartedly disagree with you. This is a much better design than your "Partial titanium subframe lock or go with titanium liners...." nonsense. Not quite as nice as my ZT 0450cf, but that's expected. "Let's be honest...we are certainly paying for aesthetics as well here...". Nonsense.

MotorradInitially I really was just seeking clarification on the drop and stating my opinion. I was neither asking for your opinion in return nor requesting a debate. I do appreciate your insight. However, if you want to cite ZT knives. I would sight the ZT 0454CF and ZT 0777CF are both superior in terms of functionality, design, and aesthetics. Both are award winning knives. Correct me if I am wrong but I believe both use subframe locks in order to maintain the aesthetics of the knife with CF on both sides while not sacrificing functionality, design, weight, etc.

jbhildebyeah...some people really get hung up on "aesthetics". FWIW this Boker is extremely functional in hand...I mean, if you can get past the lack of symmetry and lack of being carbon fiber all over... Funny that you mention the 0454cf as I sold one of those recently and purchased a 0450CF AND a 0452CF, both superior knives IMO. Hard to go wrong with any of the Sinkovich designs really. I guess your concept of "aesthetics" and 'disappointment' just doesn't really relate. Personally, I find these frame lock, carbon/Ti designs practical, very functional and, I suppose, attractive. Maybe I'm just wowed by how thin and stiff they are. I'll probably change my mind next month...

jbhildebTo clarify, subframe locks are trademarked by kai cutlery, who owns ZT and kershaw. Unless this were made by either of those companies, there's no way this could a sub framelock
