Speak softly but carry a big stick. That could be the motto of the Jim Burke–designed Boker Plus Hitman, with its understated look but sizeable weight and blade. At 8.5 inches overall, it will fill most anybody’s hand. And it can tackle most any job thanks to the 3.6-inch blade made from D2 steel (VG-10 on the titanium model). The heft of the blade carries it open with a slight press on the flipper tab, but you can use the thumb hole if you like, too. Once open it locks in place with authority via the frame lock, which is stainless steel on the G-10 version and titanium on the titanium version. For carry, the knife has a two-way clip for tip-uppers and tip-downers.
Note: At checkout, choose between the G-10 version and the titanium version (+ $50). Due to the sensitive nature of shipping knives internationally, we are able to ship only some of the knives on Massdrop to select countries. It is the responsibility of the buyer to know and comply with all importation regulations and local laws. Click here for additional information.
Jim Burke cultivated his passion for knifemaking at a very early age. After learning from his father, Burke made his first knife in 1989, when he was just a teeenager. Later, as his burgeoning love for knifemaking developed, Burke decided to enter law enforcement. He soon realized the importance of tough, quality cutlery while on duty. That recognition of functionality shines in Burke’s work as he has steadily become a premier name in the knife community, making custom knives for everyone from soldiers to high-end collectors.
