I own this knife and think is is absolutely beautiful. The handle is top notch and the blade is delivered sharp as can be. It is surprisingly comfortable for such a good looking knife, I say that because often that great looking knife has hot spots, not this one. Get it, U won't be unhappy !
unless you are a big fan of boker, might as well buy the rest of the other awesome Massdrop collab like the Ferum Forge Crus or the Terzuola or the Dog tooth for similar price. All produced by WE knives so we know the quality of that. This one just doesn't make sense...
I wrote quite a bit in an earlier comment under the Kershaw GTC collabs / bottle openers regarding how these recent GTC collabs have disappointed me. This knife (which I own) has a lovely-looking blade (and Böker does 440C very well) but it rattles and clanks its way open and closed in a nasty, inelegant way. The titanium scales feel cheap as do the carbon fiber stickers on their sides... :(
I had one before, that I bought used on bladeforums.com. It is a neat knife, and the build quality is spectacular. I didn't have as much trouble as some with the narrow grip of the clip. It could be pushed onto the top of a jeans pocket, though it did take two hands to do it. Flipping action was excellent, and the lock-up was good. As I am a collector, it really didn't see much pocket time. I gave it to my brother, and he was ecstatic. He will use the heck out of it, and I'm sure it will hold up. FYI, they don't mention it, but the blade does ride on a bearing pivot.
BknguyenI agree! I was getting ready to jump in until I saw that. Also, a couple points from an Amazon review: "The hidden pocket clip is a cool idea. It looks good but is completely unusable. It's too small and doesn't open far enough to accommodate anything but the thinnest material. It simply can't open far enough for jeans or any other material thicker than underwear... The build screws and pocket clip screws are very small and are NOT hardened and will strip easily... Also if you actually use the pocket clip, it will cause a gap to remain between the frame and clip as the titanium spring loses its memory. It sucks anyway. Best not to use it unless your pant material is very thin." That being said, the reviewer seemed to like the knife overall and said it's a good deal at anything under $140.
