I got this on the last drop. Kind of wish I didn't. I knew it was going to be large and thick. it is. it is about an inch thick. I have no folding knives that are as wide in the handle as this knife. That fact is kind of cool and unique, but it is not functional. It is not light at all and is hard to put in a pocket. The real reason I got this despite knowing the weight and thickness issues before hand was that I was misled by some youtube video which stated that it did not have a stop pin and that the lockbar served as both the lock and the blade stop when open--an interesting design I thought and one that I have never seen. Turns out it does have a stop pin--internal stop pin with blade cutout around the pivot to accept it. pretty standard design. Basically this knife does nothing more than a paramilitary and does everything worse--it is 2-3 times as thick, it is really heavy, it does not cut as well, it does not flip as smoothly, the blade steel is a notch below and the fit and finish is worse. If function is important, I think a some of the other boker offerings and spyderco offerings make more sense. This knife is good as a paper weight and as a heavy duty knife that you might as well use a fixed blade for because fixed blades of the same size weigh less than this. I thought it might just be cool to have in the collection, but the fit and finish is average so it doesn't really impresss on any level except for size and weight. I haven't touched it since I got it months ago.
