Just received #584. Worst lock stick and metal on metal sound when king this knife of my entire 500+ knife collection
i will carry and fidget flip this baby for the next week and see if it gets better while break it in.
Out of the box box it was rather dull
this knife is a lot like the Ferrum Forge designed Gent. Except the lock stick is way worse
Has anyone had any luck with the lock stick and metal “ping” going away with just flipping it?

MotorcityschmidtyAll the FR models have this "issue". Not uncommon för titanium against steel overall actually. It breaks in over time, but will most likely always have a distinct sound tho. Graphite helps make it smoother, and for the love of god never use lubricant, it will instantly make it worse :) The dull part however is more surprising I must say, the FR series have always been razor sharp out of the box from my experience. Most of my Böker knives have been amazing except from a few cases where the edge have had a micro fold from uneven sharpening, but usually straightens out easily. I do think they stressed making these since more people have reported dull blades and similar issues. But like I mentioned, the lock stick is actually common for all FR's, as well as the Trapper series.
