Good to see this finally make an appearance here.
I have the Micarta version. I love the feel of it in my hand from the texture to the weight.
I'm tempted to get the titanium version but sadly I do want one made out of a heavier metal. Copper or straight steel would work.
The bolt action is so awesome. And these can be modded. I just haven't done it to mine.
Anyways. When I pull out my pen, people actually ask me what it is. And to me that's worth the cost.
One tip. As soon as you get your Böker, go buy a refill. They are almost always dead out of the box. I bought 2 and both needed replacing within a day or two. So save yourself the trouble and just buy the refill while it's shipping. :D

BrainFlushI concur - I've liked mine (not Micarta though) since I got it (talked about it a few times at edcf and usn)... I like that it's pocketable and compact (about the same dims as my Fisher Millennium Space pen), uses a bolt-action mechanism, and yet still uses a full-size Parker-compatible International G2 ink cartridge.
The only thing I didn't like was that mine came from a lot where the bolt stems were short, and so the anodized finish along the slot in which the bolt traveled got gouged pretty quickly.
Sent it back after their email reply was that they had made taller bolts in the next batch and they would retrofit mine with a taller bolt.
At first, I thought it would've been better to have this pen as a daily driver and it'd eventually gain scratches, so having it wear down the finish right from the start wasn't so great. Yet now, after years of use, it's got lotsa "character", lol.

okesterSounds great man. Got pics?
Yeah I really like mine. The size is just so right and I have big hands. Which normally doesn't make sense but I think it's because of the diameter that it works for me.
Eventually I want to buy a custom made pen that I've seen other EDC guys post. I don't know who or what they are but the ones I've seen are just beast! Like really magical. Here's to the future!
PS my hand writing is like a child who has never learned how to write. :D
BrainFlushWhat other refills are compatible?

Ares78I've only bought the Fisher Space pen refills. And they work quite well. $5 to $7 a pop.

BrainFlushWell, I'm a slacker... This drop's currently inactive, however, I did see the request and snap a pic yesterday - just hadn't gotten to upload it till today. So here's what mine looked like relatively recently, fwiw.
And what did the customized one look like? Just curious. Well, if ya happen to stop back by this discussion, this pic should still be here. :)

Also? Funny comment about your penmanship; I often attempt to do as well as I learned, though it often regresses into chicken scratch after a while...

okesterJust got home and need some sun time. I will search for what I have seen and show you.
Great looking pen, nice to see it's been used. I wish they made them out of copper though, that way it can really look like it's mine from that used standpoint.

BrainFlushOh, cool idea - I wonder if they take suggestions or would consider making a copper version?
