I own this one and have to say I am disappointed. You are getting a $30 knife for sure. I am going to send my to Boker and ask if the play in the blade is meant to be that loose. Otherwise, a brilliant idea - a SAK with with pocket clip! Although, based on the one I received, SAKs are of MUCH better quality.

soccerplr1You have definitely got a defective unit...Did it happen since you got it new or it developed over time?

jose.evickaScrews are tight. I have to say though - I am not keen on needing to "tighten" my knife.

soccerplr1 Ok. Let me start by saying I have no relationship with Boker in any way. Now that being said, these knives are manufactured to last a lot...the only problem I can think of is a defective unit (each screw tightens the scales + spacers through a threaded pin, if that pin is a little longer -than it should- the screw will not tighten properly and the knife will get some play overtime) I prefer this concept vs Victorinox (eventualy, I could make custom scales easily in comparing with Vic), however I understand that for regular users it may not be that practical... Speak to Boker they stand behind their products.

jose.evickaDo keep in mind that "Boker" and "Boker Plus" (which this is) are different. Boker Plus is made in China/Taiwan - not the pinnacle of quality.

soccerplr1 Agreed, they are made in China, like mostly of Apple products, Lenovo (former IBM) or Armani, just to name a few... I would agree with you that some low quality products are made in China, but to make a general statement that "everything" made in China is junk is like say that all Mexicans are drug dealers (I'm not Mexican, I'm Spanish, just wanted to make a point, hopefully nobody gets offended) I'm very familiar with product & business development, also I have got a pretty good idea of manufacturing footprint, and quite frankly there is a big difference between "bad luck" and bad products...you may like this knife or not which I fully respect, but let's look a little further on the subject/issue... I have also had some quality problems with some Victorinox knives (I own +100), they were all taken care by Vic, and I bet you $1 that Boker will do the same with yours J That’s what a good Brand does, stand behind their products.
