I really like my 55L Buttermilks. I have carried up to about 38 lbs (without water) on multiday trips, and I've never needed anything more. It also cinches down well enough when you don't have a large load. It has seen everything from a 4 day trip in the Wind Rivers in Wyoming all the way through a 3 week trip in New Zealand. Simple design to grab and go.
Speaking of design, it is sleek enough to carry around the city without looking like a yeti who just stumbled out of the woods.
