Reasonably speaking, how many days could one live out of a bag this size while hiking in the southern Sierras? Asking for a friend.

_megapixelThey are day packs. No hip belt to speak of to transfer weight to hips. All the weight would be on the shoulders, which is not comfortable at all. Also, 1 person could do ok for 4 days with 35 liters, assuming there is water along the way. The next person might need a 60 liter pack for those same days. I'm minimalist with ul and tight packing gear. I could thru hike with 32 liters.

I've had a Boreas Bolinas bag for 4 years as a hike/daily biking bag. I can't recommend them enough.

This looks pretty cool. Why is there not more interest in these?

Black absorbs light energy (electromagnetic radiation) i.e. warms us up while walking. This is not preferable.

Black objects definitely absorb more energy in a given time when exposed to a constant IR radiation source, like the sun. It may not be an issue for you but where I live pretty much anything black can get too hot to touch very quickly in the summer sun. That said, both sizes are offered in both black and light blue, so I don't see what the problem is.
I would probably get the 35L if it had a better waistbelt suitable for transferring weight to the hips, but for me just a piece of webbing around the waist doesn't cut it in a pack that size.

SpicerHmmm.....Good spot on the hip belt. That could be a bit of a problem on the 35L.
I was thinking about springing for one of these. I'm wondering if I need the 25L size.
