I’ve read some reviews saying that the first finger grip is really close to the sharpened part of the blade. close enough that you might cut yourself a little. Anyone that own the knife have any input on that?

A.N.TThe choil is actually quite large and there is minimal danger of cutting yourself. However, I do think the angle of the curve could have been better though as it is not quite steep enough (in its forward section) to keep fingers from moving toward the cutting edge when strong forward pressure is exerted.

I have a Guardian 4 and there is so much I love about it: it’s hefty feel, secure forward feeling choke up grip, the jimping works well, the micarta scales. But what lets it down is the curvy part of the grip at the rear. What they have somehow managed to do, at least with my larger hand anyway, is to create ‘spikes’ that stick into your hand when gripping. It’s very disappointing and none of the MD photos show it.

Illinois_knife_guykinda my first impression. But I do enjoy s30v. Same steel on my edc folder and it’s great imo.
still at this price you kinda expect the American made + super steel. No matter how that sounds. 😁👊🏼

Money grubbing, so far I have seen more items being sold for more than the MRSP "as if it were a deal"??? Why pay $75.00 more for the same thing somewhere else? I guess the truth is, there are people that will not take the time to find a better price (we all know how strenuous and dubious a task like that is...jk) and will pay whatever looks like the norm. Guess what folks, this is not the norm. Massdrop is skimming way too much off the top. Limited to 90 pieces? At this price point, the only deal is for Massdrop to lure in 90 suckers.

That isn't true, you suggested that this knife is priced $75.00 higher than MSRP, while ignoring that the knife you are looking at is a different knife in a cheaper steel than this one, with cheaper handles to boot.
You are being purposefully obtuse and it isn't cute.

OmniseedSeriously omniseed, it seems a bit asinine that you have nothing better to do with your time. Re-read my initial remark and you will discover I made no such reference about this knife being $75 more than MSRP. What I did say, was why pay $75 more for the same thing somewhere else. MD is not the ultimate best price...that was my point. By all means, stay here and buy to your hearts delight and continue to annoy people with your senseless and arbitrary interpretation of reality... I have better things to attend to.

I'm just not interested in buying something on mass drop original price over 200 and after the drop you get like what 10 bucks off. It's not a deal, sometimes you even save more with ebates

I really do like this knife but can't bring myself to pay that kind of money for a 4in blade, leather sheath, and over produced knife

That gives? This same knife cost $120 on Bradford's own website.

As much as I like this knife as well, the price for this knife is not a deal. And, I also could not find this knife on Bradford site for less money ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

He must have been looking at the cheapest version of the Guardian 3.
This one is $239 at the Bradford website, because of the sculpted scales. So it's a decent enough deal if you've been fiending for a Guardian, they are excellent knives, but not the best deal ever.
