TylerFinally got the knife the other day. My only issue with this drop was the lack of transparency from Mass Drop on this one. They really ignored the community after the drop cleared on this one and handled it somewhat poorly.
Besides not being the biggest fan of the sheath initially, the knife is excellent. A bit smaller than I'd thought it would be, but as it's meant for EDC, I appreciate the compact design. Extremely ergonomic, comfortable and wonderfully easy to use. The balance is a little handle heavy, which is shocking since it's over half blade. If held normally the balance is on the middle finger, though I'm used to index being the point of balance.
I opted in for the carbon fiber. Micarta is more durable according to some, but scales are just scales. I'm not impacting the handle and I like the smooth feel (doesn't grip clothing like Micarta can) and light weight of CF. And it looks great. I know it's not function, but sometimes you just want to carry something pretty.
The sheath doesn't feel overly secure, but very comfortable. You forget it's there. There's no snap to hold it in place and it grips entirely based on friction. So as the sheath get's smoother and older, I am not sure if it will hold well. It is a little tight with the belt loop, but with time that will soften and be more flexible on the belt. The leather doesn't get along with a nylon web double layered belt I own (Carbon Tactics Cobra Belt I bought here...great belt, btw). It's hard to get on and wears the stitching on back side of the belt, while the leather get's scraped up pretty bad from the nylon. Works quite well with a leather belt, though.
Chad has other sheaths on his site, and I may look to purchase one so I can utilize it with a webbed belt. Great knife.

PandemosI also ordered the carbon fiber handle, with the Nimbus (stonewashed+PVD) finish. I agree with everything above -- nice review!
I'd also add that my knife came exceedingly sharp. Sharp enough to shave with - literally, since I did exactly that - and the edge has so far held up well, though it's early days. This is my first experience with M390.
My only criticism of the design at this point is that the edge begins right at the tip of the choil, It seems like it would be a bit too easy to slide your finger forward and cut yourself.

RathSpot on, forgot to mention the choil issue. I think the edge is at 20 degrees through most of the blade (literally razor angle), but feels almost like 40 degrees just after the choil. I've dragged over, but not cut myself on the transition (was using a pinch grip to prep veggies, so may have been insulating). Thinking of manually dulling it a bit there to prevent cutting issues on the index finger. Seconded, this knife comes extremely sharp. One of, if not THE sharpest, factory knife I've received. Normally I clean it up and put my own edge on it, but in this case, I've straightened and that's about it.
I have the same build. M390 Nimbus finish with CF scales. LOVE it. If you use it a lot, you'll notice a bunch of leather detritus coming out of the sheath. It's because the tip is sandwich (pancake) and not a taco design. It catches on the inside and also somewhat dulls it after a lot of use. I noticed after a couple days and a few dozen practice draws, the tip wasn't shaving sharp, like the belly remained. It's from the poor depth of the sheath and sandwich (pancake) vs taco design.
A quick run with a leather strap straightener and it was all set and back to shaving sharp on the whole edge.
Just wanted to mention the durability. I used this knife to pry a wooden wine box open and actually worked pretty well. It's not meant for a pry tool, and if yours snaps...well, it's a knife. Not designed to be a pry bar. Just wanted to mention this particular knife functioned perfectly as a pry for this application.
