Holy crap! 43mm, leather strap, Miyota auto, clean design, unique case plating, sapphire crystal and USA "made?!?"
This watch, compared to all the other micro-brand watches I've seen over the years is a screaming deal IMO. (I picked up an Enclave quartz in the past--beautiful design and sapphire for under $100--though I can assume country of origin. Also a Miro automatic which was way above scale.) Only downside I see to this is the plated stainless steel, but the color contrast on any scratches will be much less than with a black or darkly plated case.
Think ahead to the holidays and the automatic watch folks on your list--this would be a winner.
Don't tell the wife (yet) but I'm in.
kingpingBradley Mountain seems to make bags in the U.S., so perhaps they made the watch bands. But they certainly didn't make this watch. They "teamed up with AVI-8 to bring you our favorite timepiece." Miyota made the movement in Japan, and Solar Time made the case and assembled it in Hong Kong, I'm sure.
If you look a their website you'll see that they sell a lot of stuff that is simply branded with their logo that they could not have made themselves. Lip balm? "Let's cook up a batch of lip balm on the stove while we wait for the glue to dry on our bags!"
CloacaThanks for the note. Yeah, I put the quotes around the word "made" for just that reason, although I didn't make the obvious connection through the micro-brand maker. There's no way you could take Asian components and hand assemble them here for anywhere near that price point. Having said that, the the specs to cost ratio and (to me)handsome design still make this an above average deal.
JuanEmilioEverybody's different! I'm 6'2" and a 43mm does not read as a "big" watch on my wrist. I DO see lots of posts on r/watches which seem to me to be watch diameters way too big for the wearer, but even then it's a matter of what you like.
There are many beautiful smaller watches for your smaller, bird-like, delicate wrists. ;-)
