Considering joining this drop, can anyone testify to these for decent portable headphones? I read a few reviews that seemed positive.

freshkibblesI can. I bought two pair of these (at $35 each on sale a while back) as gifts for two of my co-workers after they put together a nice baby shower for my wife and I. I borrowed a pair and used them for a couple of days for about 6 hours at a time, and for the $35 price point, I was very impressed. They are comfortable, portable, feel very well built, and have a fun v-shaped sound. The bass had a lower mid bass hump, but it wasn't overwhelming (read: not for bass heads). The midrange was slightly recessed, but vocals still shine, and male vocals especially are nice an forward. The treble is elevated a bit, and does get a tad sibilant, but it was never harsh and long listening sessions for me were not fatiguing.
At $35, I would certainly recommend these, especially for a set of cans to keep at work or for on the go for the budget conscious. I am going to pick up two more pair for gifts myself.

givemeyourshoesThanks! I pulled the trigger on these, eager to try them out. The Hifiman HE-350s got delayed by about a month, so these will certainly keep my interest until then (and hopefully long after).

givemeyourshoesI bought these the last time they appeared here, they arrived, I tried them and asked for a refund. That's when I discovered that MassDrop doesn't do that. OK, they will be a xmas gift to somone but to me they sounded like crap. Yes, I am used to more expensive cans, but I didn't think they would be as bad as they are.
