Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. Contrary to what other people have said I am experiencing more noise bleeding in from the outside and more noise bleeding out from the inside with a noticeable loss in the lower frequencies, which I guess can be chalked up to the fact that the foam is much thicker than the ATH-M50x velour pads' and thus the driver is farther away from your ear canal. Even though I do enjoy my fair share of bass, it's a trade-off I am willing to make as the sound stage is now much wider and songs that don't rely on bass sound much more open and, for me, more enjoyable. I'll update this if these start to cause discomfort as well after many hours of use.
EDIT: The pads do seem somewhat itchy as @Afterman noted, but this isn't too big of a nuisance.
