I'm not really well informed when it comes to watches. Setting aside the social issues of color selection for the moment - am I correct in assuming that being a quartz watch, it requires a battery? TIA.
I'm glad to see ladies quartz watches offered here. My wife has liked the watches that I've given her, except she can't understand why in the 21st century she has to set the time and wind the damn things. To her watches are jewelry. The "little machine on your wrist" geeky cool aspect is not as appealing to women as it is to men (statistical distributions, means and standard deviations, there women who do like automatic watches, your mileage may vary, see graphs in James Damore Google Memo for more explanation).
I’m okay with Pink—always have been. I like Pink Floyd, and that old Prince song too. How’d that one go again... ?
“Pinkle rain, pinkle rain—if you know what I’m talk’n about up here, everybody raise your hand!
Sing it with me now: “Pinkle rain, pinkle rain...!”
Searching for reviews of this watching isn’t turning up anything for me. Does anyone have any direct experience with (or links to a useful review of) this watch? It doesn’t have a warranty, which always makes me pause.
I'm mostly concerned because someone on a recent Mondaine quartz ladies' watch told me that their hands became misaligned and Mondaine blamed it on exposure to EM fields, which is stupid. If that's a concern for this watch, then I'd want to pass on it too.
neil.rin my experience there are few qtz watches under $100 which have perfectly aligned hands. its basically luck of the draw. also, normal wear or the watch bouncing around in the box on the FEDEX truck will often cause the hands to slip a little. i guess my point is that manufacturers' warranties on inexpensive qtz watches (especially 3-handers) are pretty useless IMHO since a local repair shop can usually fix problems faster, cheaper and with less hassle then trying to go through the manufacturer.
