I bought one of these last drop. Rolled the tube to a Tung Sol. Must say that I love it. To my ear it's suprisingly bright and analytical, at least more than I expected from a tube. It sounds much better than my portable Fiio e12, especially in the low end. It makes my K7xx sound better (to my ear) than any other set up I've used them with. It makes my planars give me chills. I'd highly recommend.

gm0n13In general, tube amps perform better with high impedance headphones because the power output is much more. The overhead on tube amps means that the sound delivered is fuller. People underestimate power but often for amplifiers, more power = better. It's just a matter of how cleanly it is delivered and it doesn't get better than class A.

wirelessrevantNot sure that is wholly the case here. My Fiio e12 is rated at 880mw @ 32ohms. The Bravo gives a power rating of 500mw but can't find an impedance rating listed where it delivers that 500mw . My K7xx are rated at 62 ohms. My HiFiMan he 400 are only rated at 35 ohms. So, what I'm trying to get at is this, to my ear, the Bravo sounds better with all my headphones. Including my lowest impedance cans, AKG 267 @32ohms. I like the sound of the HiFi mans best with both amps. The AKG 267 second best with both amps . The k7xx come in third, with both amps, but sound better on the Bravo than the solid state Fiio (to my ears). Go figure (LOL)!
