wyattcreplaced the irf630 mosfets for irl510 mosfets (get better mids and highs), replaced the two input caps for nichicon 2200uF 35V and swapped the output cap for a nichicon 35V 4700uF (better power handling, less popping). cut two channels on the tube loops and grounded them to remove cross talk (less feedback). put in a 100uF/10V across the led and swapped the start resistor for a 10k for a softer start up (no more pops if headphones are plugged in during power up and power down).
I also plan on balancing the halves of the tube base for a more even output using small 5k pots. (balances left and right channels for even sound distribution)
will also need to get bigger heatsinks as these are proving to be inadequate.

MannyDo you happen to have a full parts list/guide to the mods you're performing? I bought this amp specifically to mod it, but I'm at a bit of a loss for what exactly to purchase/where to cut/etc.

pezhoreParts List: since I only run triode balanced tubes, I did not get the potentiometers and I did not see the need to order a new switch. Everything else was ordered. but as of now, not all of it was used just yet.

only one i did not do was swap to lm317a's I did put bigger heatsinks in though. That is all based on how big you are willing to let them get and the room you have.

FatalityDiabloany tube change would change the sound. I have never heard of this specific tube before so I would look at reviews of it and peoples impressions to see if its the type of sound you would want your amp to produce.
