venvarI have the same question. I wish Massdrop would provide the information when the item is first listed. There are many items I would buy if not for being made in China. Without such information I don't buy.

All of the tea kettles I have used are 1.7 liter (57 oz). The kettle here looks nice, but it is too small, and it most likely does not whistle when water is boiled.

ZZ_UPennThis kettle is not for boiling... it is for serving.

kryptikenigmaUmm... actually no, It's not a serving kettle. This type of kettles used for making drip coffee, especially in Japan-originated pour over methods. Such a low siting goose neck allows for precise pouring and flow control. Of course you can also use it to serve coffee or tea, if you want to. :)

Does this whistle on the stovetop when water is boiled?

WakamaruObserve the kettle and think logically: The nose is open so steam pressure can't build up to create a sound. Also, the nose is so thin it can't have a whistle or other mechanism obstructing the flow because it will render the kettle useless. Top lid could have a whistle but picture demonstrates solid construction. And it wouldn't work anyway because of open nose.
