I have a sizing question. I bought the british belt company Harness leather belt from Massdrop and I sized it 4 inches more (36 instead of 32) than my actual waist size as the discussions mentioned they run small. I am glad I did because, the belt fits perfectly. Are these belts sized the same way or should I buy a 34 belt ?

I would love it if this was available with a warm color buckle. It says it's made of brass but they appear silver in the pictures.

cityofrosesMy guess is that the buckle is chrome or nickel plated.

cityofrosesBrowns and tans always go better with brass in my opinion. Silver colored buckles can be a little more formal imo sometimes too.

Received mine and I'm really happy. Braided (woven) belts are usually low quality junk, I took a flyer hoping for good quality and this belt goes beyond good to excellent, even superior quality. Drop this model again, I want multiples. Thank you..

I MISSED THIS
Just like others here I had been wanting a "real" braided leather belt. I'd been making do with Uniqlo's (crappy) belt, but I don't even feel like wearing it anymore, it really does look cheap and brings the outfit down.
I'd be interested in hearing people's opinions. I have the pebble grain belt from British Belt Company, and while I haven't worn it too much I do like the quality for the price I paid (on MD).

I've been keeping an eye out for a braided belt for a loooong time. I have a reversible one by Nautica and it's been tearing at a bend created from when I undo my belt for the john. (I like to tuck the open end into my belt loop to prevent... cross contamination.) With it being such a fad and iconic piece in preppy fashion, you'd think a mainstream vendor would get it right, but most of them are very cheaply made in China (i.e. Uniqlo, Old Navy, Nautica; not sure about Ralph Lauren). I can tell by the plastic feeling of the belt, it's lack of durability to bending, and the warning label that says the color might rub off. Honestly, these LOOK just like the cheap ones, but you can never tell through photos. I mean, the black looks just like the navy. I am wary... Can anyone speak to the reputation of this company or the quality of its products?
BackspinHi, allow me to respond to the reputation of the company & quality of our goods. We have been making men's accessories since 1946. This belt is hand made, of Italian hides, the other brands you mention are made off shore & are sold at a price point for, "big box" stores with extremely high volume & of much lesser quality. there is a world of difference. I encourage you try one, you will not be disappointing. Cheers !
