Though he's carved out a niche in the knife community with forward-thinking, aggressive blade profiles, Jason Brous takes a slight departure with the Bionic 2.0 (which may be why it’s his own EDC of choice). This Massdrop-exclusive version sports G-10 scales as opposed to the standard aluminum, making it even lighter and stronger than before. Grooves in the handle resemble snakeskin to hit home the Brous aesthetic. The modified wharncliffe blade is made from Brous’s steel of choice, D2, offering good edge retention and toughness. Secured by a liner lock, the blade has jimping on the spine for control. At just 2.4 ounces, you’ll barely notice it in the pocket—whether you carry it on the right or left side.
Note: This exclusive model is limited to 1000 total pieces. At checkout, choose between Desert Tan, Olive Drab, and Royal Blue. Due to the sensitive nature of shipping knives internationally, we are able to ship only some of the knives on Massdrop to select countries. It is the responsibility of the buyer to know and comply with all importation regulations and local laws. Click here for additional information.
After spending his early life learning the ins and outs of CNC machining from his father, Jason Brous began a career designing high-performance knives. Inspired by biomechanical art—a surrealist style of art that combines robotics, ergonomics, and the organic qualities of nature—Brous Blades are built on a process of continual improvement and determination to craft nothing but the best cutlery on the market.
