Product Description
Though it was originally designed by Chris Mioduszewski of Fortius Arms, Brous Blades has overhauled this carabiner with new materials and a vicious new look to integrate it with the Brous family. Made with a combination of carbon fiber and D2 steel, it can accommodate up to 14 keys—but screws and hardware are included to custom fit the system to as many as you need Read More

Yea mine falls off like 10 times a day. This shit pisses me off, cuz unnecessary milspec is a part of my daily life. Brous Blades, can you make a stiffer spring???

Doesn't come with 'all the hardware' to customize and none of my tiny screwdrivers fit, so I have to go buy something to customize it. And the closing piece on the keybiner itself is rather flimsy and can come off without warning, but can be easily reattached. Nifty tool, not worth the price I paid though.

Well, it finally happened. I have only had this product 11 days, and the metal piece fell off today and is lost. It has popped off nearly every day, but it was always in my hand when I noticed, so I was able to reattach. This time, it was clipped to my bag, and I hadn't noticed the metal spring clip fell off. Fortunately, my keys were still dangling and were not lost.
This keybiner is a terrible design--an objects "design" has a function and purpose--and the purpose of this item is to secure/clip it to something so that your keys do not get lost. It does not accomplish it's task effectively since the spring clip is flimsy and poorly secured. This has been a waste of money due to the terrible design.
Massdrop--I think you should contact Brous, and have them supply a handful of spring clips free of charge to each person who ordered.
Unless this situation is mitigated, I do not expect to order from MassDrop or Brous again. I expect higher craftsmanship from Brous, and I do not expect to purchase another product from them (I had several knives on my wishlist). I will definitely think twice before ordering from MassDrop again as well. I know they are merely the distributor, but I believe they should stand by the products they sell.

MeloHYPEAgreed. My clip has fallen off many many times since the original posting of this comment, though I haven't officially lost it. I think Brous was more attached to style than actually attaching the clip.

I own the titanium version of the original one of this. most every part of it was a multitool. Now this one is all rounded and has a multitool taking up one of your key spots that doesn't do all of the things the original did.......

Can you put the key adapter part on either side of the biner?

KWIGYBOI don't think so. I have an original Ti keybiner and the fasteners are bugle head so the biner itself is dished out to receive the sloped fastener head.

KnutThe design isn't bad, but I don't need all those "premium materials" for something I'm going to lose in a few years. Make me one out of aluminum and steel, and sell it for $25 and I'm in.

The image of the where the keys go look like that bar is being held to the carabiner with a screw and no end cap. This tells me the system will eventually loosen and you will have to constantly revisit the key system and tighten it screws. The video below shows the proper way to keep the retention

This is my opinion so please correct me if I am wrong.

Hmm thanks man. I already threw my KeyBiner out! :) Had I still have it, definitely worth the investment. I'm going to favourite this item. :) I still believe anything that is north of 30 bucks to hold keys should first and foremost KEEP keys secure. A screw without a back cap just doesn't do the job.

Are there any images of some keys mounted?

Looking for that AIO solution to carry and quick use but have a tool. Nothing specific, anyone think this is good?

BrainFlushAlso, I think the Keybiner is a fair bit bigger than the orbitkey or KeyBar, because of the carabiner part. I prefer just adding a small niteize clip to my orbitkey if I need the ability to hang it on something. Guess it depends on whether you want something for your pocket or something a bit bigger that hangs on your belt loop, etc.

mayorblurpsThanks for the responses.
To give a little bit more insight. I actually carry my keys in my back pocket. A house, car and store set.
Just looking for something cool for me to carry my keys in. I'll check the things you mentioned when I'm home.
