Shaped like a humpback whale, the Parallax from Brous Blades features a wide-bellied drop-point blade with excellent slicing power. Made from D2—Jason Brous’s material of choice—it delivers good edge retention and corrosion resistance, and is relatively easy to sharpen. Easy to deploy, the blade rotates out with the smooth Brous Bearing System. The handle, which features contoured grooves for grip and aesthetic appeal, is made from titanium scales that have been pocketed inside to reduce heft. If things get messy, the knife is easy to clean thanks to the standoff construction, too. Pair that with a stainless steel clip for tip-up carry, and you’ve got a full-sized folder that won’t weigh you down, yet is suitable for a wide range of tasks.
Note: At checkout, choose between Satin, Blackout, and Acid Stonewash. This drop is limited to 20 units. After spending his early life learning the ins and outs of CNC machining from his father, Jason Brous began a career designing high-performance knives. Inspired by biomechanical art—a surrealist style of art that combines robotics, ergonomics, and the organic qualities of nature—Brous Blades are built on a process of continual improvement and determination to craft nothing but the best cutlery on the market.
