$210 much less $450MSRP for a quartz movement with a mineral crystal... pass.

+/- 10 seconds/year and that buttery smooth second hand are reasons to get this. Not to mention the historical connection. It will be a bit more fragile without sapphire crystal, but I feel this watch will be worth it.

Excellent entry level quality actually. There are several watch companies like Seiko, Orient, and Sinola, that are price range and are mechanical. If you are into battery powered watches then do your thing, consider me a romantic, I like for the pieces in my collection to have a soul or a story.

JLNoirI can't make any promises right now, but we're working with Bulova to get this watch. It's 44 mm and has a MSRP of $550. If you make a poll and post the link here so it gets some traction, we'll be able to monitor interest leading up to the potential drop. Cheers!

long218Batteries will typically last around 2 years before needing a change, but the exact lifespan depends on various conditions.
