How wide are the micro-straps? Our state parks require a minumum 1-1/2" strap. Where is the hammock made?
Love2FishJust copying and pasting my notes from your other question here so that others can see the answer in both places.
The hammock is made in China. But we are not a new company that just picked the cheapest factory to make our hammocks. We've been sourcing hammocks overseas for almost 20 years. The straps are 1" wide. We picked this because the Leave No Trace group has recommended that there is very little impact when a straps at least 1" are used. https://lnt.org/blog/hammock-camping And the 1" strap is more common in the industry, although there are a few that use 1.5".

DannyhammockThanks for timely reply! I'm not completely opposed to purchasing products made overseas just prefer to buy American when I can (afford it!). I did some research last night and discovered there are many camp grounds in my state where 1" straps are acceptable. I've been wanting to buy one of these "jungle hammocks" for quite sometime. I've watched YouTube videos, read countless reviews and searched many sites to help me purchase the right hammock for my needs. There are SO many hammocks on the market, it's very difficult to know what's the best one for the money. I'm a 6' tall 245 lb. guy, I do a lot of hiking to remote lakes in the Sierra Nevada to fly fish. Most of my camping will be during the warmer, dryer months.
I think I'm going to take a chance on the Moskito Kakoon.
Love2FishI hope you do get one. Based off lots of consumer feedback we have revised this hammock a few times to get it where it is today. At 116" x 56" we have been told it should be a great fit for someone your size. Unfortunately there are a lot of hammocks on the market today. Like I said, we have been providing lightweight hammocks to the American people for almost 20 years now, long before others flooded the market with their versions. Even at the regular retail price this is the best deal on the market when you compare all of the features and price. Lot's of people like the lightweight spreader bars to keep the netting open, and now they are removable so you can easily and safely flip the hammock upside down if you don't need the netting.
