Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. Im not sure what I did wrong to make it mess up like that as I've always taken good care of it, ive had it for about 2 years and its always just been chilling on my desk, but anywho I thought the cable just went bad and ordered a replacement. Do not fret, this is a very different microphone from the GXL2600. The Zoe is an omni-directional mic for one thing. It has a smaller capsule and diaphragm and limited frequency response in comparison to the 2600. The Zoe is great for beginning podcasters or those just starting to exploring recording. However, I got to do some sampling with it at NAMM, I must say for the price it is an amazing piece!
The closest mic I could compare this to would be a Yeti Snowball. Looks aside, it has a headphone jack for simultaneous monitoring of recording, its small so it won't take up too much space on your desk, and the volume controls on the front make for quick and on the fly level adjustments.
That's my opinion, I am always glad to answer a question and keep them coming!
