I mainly record guitar parts using a Sennheiser E609 Super Cardioid Instrument Microphone dropped over a tube amp driven 2x12 cab (= this is going to get loud) then back into my mixing board and finally into my recording software. All happens in a not soundproof spare room. Is the CAD E100S to sensitive for this application? it seems like a great mic at a great price, possibly much better than I am using now, but I have had other studio mics before that were so "sensitive" that they picked up the outside birds chirping and neighbors dogs (nice, not an essential part of my recording). Anybody using this mic strictly for instrument recording and with what results?

RocketDogThis mic is a tank and can handle loud, plus it's design means it focuses laser like on the sound in front of it...perfect for working in less than perfect environment.
