These are fantastic mics. I use them as OH for my drum kit, sax, piano, acoustic guitar, vocals, snare drum. And this is a solid deal. I have to say that the quality of your mic pre's obviously make a difference when using a mic of this quality. I just don't think that you can beat this mic, especially at this price point. I also highly recommend the CAD m179. I mainly use the m179's on my rack and floor toms in my drum kit, and the polar patterns make them versatile for many other applications as well.
