I'd like to join in the conversation, last week I received my microphone and since day 1 I too noticed the static hiss sound which has been bugging me. This was my first proper mic purchase and it did disappoint me, not even a simple usb webcam produces that same hiss (E.g. http://vocaroo.com/i/s1F9M3Y9r8oD). That hiss sound I recorded it with the microphone volume set to 0.
I just started communication with CAD and they're asking me questions to try and understand the issue. I'm on Windows 10, Mic is set as 48k 1 channel and driver uses a "Generic USB Audio" driver.

tomcatunfortunately no, so I basically have to buy another mic. at least, most of the software I use for the mic like Discord does software "noise cancellation". Still, for recording it's ridiculous that I have this noise regardless of volume pick-up.
